Nestlé International Ice Cream Division Selects Apptricity Asset Tracking Solution
Apptricity, the leading global provider of innovative mobile enterprise software, including mission-critical supply chain management and integrated financial management solutions, recently announced the launch of a new project with the international ice cream division of Nestlé. By implementing Apptricity’s asset tracking software, Nestlé will address its main concern, which is ensuring each freezer is deployed to the proper location. The company will also now be able to initiate a company-wide freezer inventory check at least once per year.
Nestlé desired to provide a worldwide fleet of freezers that progressively phase out the use of high global-warming-potential refrigerant. Implementing Apptricity’s asset tracking solution will help Nestlé gain the additional control and visibility necessary to meet this goal.
Apptricity’s asset tracking solution employs a combination of a cloud-based system and handheld barcode readers that will allow Nestlé representatives to perform a physical inventory check of every deployed freezer both nationally and internationally. Each employee or representative will be able to automatically update the inventory information within the current SAP system for a specific freezer by simply scanning the barcode. Nestlé management personnel can then update the SAP system with that specific freezer’s new location, if necessary.

Additionally, the software will be used by Nestlé warehouse personnel to ship and receive the units to any location in the world with inventory updates made via the handheld barcode readers.
