FUTUREMED Training Seminar in the frame of the 18th Panhellenic Logistic Conference

The FUTUREMED – Freight and passengers sUpporting infomobiliTy systems for a sUstainable impRovEment of the competitiveness of port-hinterland systems of the MED area – project organizes in the frame of the 18th Panhellenic Logistic Conference the Training Seminar “Improving the port-hinterland interface in the Mediterranean – ICT in Supply Chain Management”.

FUTUREMED is a strategic project under the MED Programme that aims to improve the competitiveness of port systems in the MED area by improving accessibility through technology and procedural innovations, and guaranteeing sustainability of transport. From Greek side, apart from Hellenic Institute of Transport of the Center for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH/HIT), the Hellenic Ministry for Infrastructure, Transport and Networks, TRAINOSE SA and the Port Authority of Thessaloniki (THPA) participate also in the project.

Scope of this seminar is to present ICT solutions and technological innovation tools to improve the efficiency and visibility of intermodal seaport-hinterland maritime transport chains in the Mediterranean. The seminar is aimed at potential users of these systems (shipping agents, freight forwarders, logistics companies, port authorities, ICT experts etc) and will be held in Thessaloniki on Tuesday 18th of November 2014 at 15: 30-17: 00 in the premises of the Met Hotel in Thessaloniki.
