Air Cargo Europe is the new gateway

The world´s biggest event for the air cargo sector is taking place between May 5 and 8, 2015 as part of transport logistic. Over 200 companies from more than 40 countries are expected to exhibit at Air Cargo Europe. Among them are also first-time exhibitors from Asia, such as Air Cargo Group Association and Cathay Pacific Services from China, Raya Airways from Malaysia and World Alliance GSA from Singapore. Also debuting at the exhibition in 2015 is the Airports Company South Africa.

Many other companies that have already signed up for the show have been regular participants in Air Cargo Europe for many years. Among them are the airports of Amsterdam, Brussels, Changi, Cologne-Bonn, Liege, Linz, Munich, Paris and Sharjah as well as Airlines Air China Cargo, American Airlines, Cargolux, Emirates SkyCargo, Etihad, Lufthansa Cargo, MNG Airlines, Qatar Airways Cargo, Saudi Airlines Cargo, SkyTeam Cargo, Turkish Airlines and Virgin Atlantic Cargo. All exhibitors of Air Cargo Europe can be found in the exhibitor list.

Accompanying the exhibition, on the second day, is the Air Cargo Europe Conference, 7th International Conference for the Global Air Cargo Industry. The conference is being supported for the first time by the International Air Cargo Association (TIACA), which as a partner is organizing one of the two discussion sessions. Under the title of “Data and security. What´s next?” experts from the sector will be discussing how to process the data collected in the air cargo industry with a view to increasing air cargo security. The forum is being chaired by Doug Brittin, Secretary-General of TIACA.

In the second event, which takes the subject of “E-commerce in airfreight”, one of the topics under discussion will be how the air cargo sector can benefit from the e-commerce revolution. How can the air cargo sector leverage the potential of electronic commerce in order to optimize its own processes? How can companies become an attractive partner for e-commerce forwarders and what are the real benefits?

The Air Cargo Europe Conference takes place on May 6, 2015 from 10:00 to 13:00 in Forum 1 in Hall A6. Attendance at the conference is included in the price of a ticket to transport logistic.
